Elizabeth Township Roadside Clean Sweep

Join Us for the Elizabeth Township Roadside Clean Sweep!

Ready to roll up your sleeves and make a positive impact in Elizabeth Township, Ohio? Join us for the Roadside Clean Sweep, where we can come together as a community to tackle litter that accumulates in our roadsides and ditches.

The 2024 event starts on Saturday, April 6th and runs through April 20th - giving plenty of time to adjust your time outside if the weather doesn’t cooperate.

We’d like to encourage residents to register at the Elizabeth Township Community Center Front Desk, located at 5760 E. Walnut Grove Road. When you sign up, trash bags and rubber gloves will be available. Leave orange trash bags with general refuse by the side of the road and call Nic for pick up. Clear trash bags are also available for aluminum and glass recyclables; separate bags for each type, should be left by the side of the road. Call Nic and he will pick up these bags as well. Volunteers do not need to take the trash home.

We invite all residents of Elizabeth Township, Ohio, to join us for the Roadside Clean Sweep event!

Top 3 Benefits of Picking Up Trash in the Spring:

  • Community Pride: By clearing out litter from our roads, we enhance the beauty of our township and create a more inviting environment for residents and visitors alike.
  • Environmental Impact: By picking up litter from our roadsides and ditches, we're actively preserving our local environment. Removing trash helps protect wildlife habitats, prevents pollution of waterways, and maintains the natural beauty of our surroundings.
